




Chevrolet celebrates Camaro Convertible at LA Auto Show with an interactive and playful display. Attendees at this year’s 2010 LA Auto Show might have received a brand-new, limited-edition, 2011 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible model car produced specifically for the show. The automaker distributed 10,000 of these Hot Wheels each day to show-goers who visited the Chevy display. Partnering with toymaker Mattel, Chevy also set up a track where the Hot Wheels could compete.

Attendees at this year’s 2010 LA Auto Show might have received a brand-new, limited-edition, 2011 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible model car produced specifically for the show. The automaker distributed 10,000 of these Hot Wheels each day to show-goers who visited the Chevy display. Partnering with toymaker Mattel, Chevy also set up a track where the Hot Wheels could compete. To share the new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro with friends and family, showgoers could enter the Camaro Convertible high-tech digital photo booth, where 27 cameras simultaneously snapped photos from different angles and compiled an animated image of participants interacting with the car. The resulting video could show the participants suspended in air or in motion around the vehicle. They were able to share the video with their friends via Facebook, Twitter or email.
Camaro 5 Fest II

The original Camaro5 Fest took place in April of 2010 and saw some of the nations most unique and custom 5th Generation Camaros arrive at South Georgia Motorsports Park. The event was such a success that they decided to do it again on April 14-16 at Phoenix, Arizona’s Firebird Raceway. The folks at Carmaro5 invited all of their forum’s 5th gen Camaro owners to their second gathering dubbed Camaro5 Fest II.
The 2011 event had everything that a gearhead could ask for: autocross, road course, drag racing, a car show, a vendors midway, and more. The event saw 318 drivers and over a 1000 spectators for the three day spectacle. Chevrolet even used this event to formally introduce its 45th anniversary Camaro edition to the public.
