Congratulations, 1969 Camaro

Chevy drivers vote you the best Chevy ever! By 1969

the Camaro was extremely popular. And though this was the final year of the Camaro's original iconic design, it went out with flying colors. The '69 Camaro paced the Indianapolis 500® for the second time. It was the first and only year the legendary aluminum ZL1 engine was offered, and the Z28® SS/RS performance package qualified the '69 Camaro to compete in the Trans-Am racing series. It's still considered one of the hottest-looking rides of the classic muscle car era. It had a 290-horsepower rating but tested at close to 400. This four-wheeled icon has graced the silver screen many times. In Almost Famous, a young William Miller watches his sister drive off with her boyfriend in a blue 1969 Camaro coupe. And a slightly earlier version stars as the famous black beauty in Better Off Dead.

Transformer Trilogy (movie)

"You may never have to outrun a Decepticon invasion. But isn’t it nice to know you can?"

Camaro takes center stage in the Transformers series as the character Bumblebee, a Rally Yellow Camaro. Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third in the hit Transformers live-action movie series, is in theaters June 29, 2011. In conjunction with the release of the film, Chevrolet announces the 2012 Camaro Transformers Special Edition, which will be available in North America and several other markets around the world, including China, Japan, and parts of Europe, South America and the Middle East

Offered on the top two trim levels — 2LT and 2SS — with the RS Appearance Package, the 2012 Transformers edition only improves upon the already immensely popular 2010 Transformers Special Edition. The 2012 Transformers look starts with a stripe design consistent with the actual Transformers: Dark of the Moon Bumblebee model: Rally Yellow exterior paint with exclusive carbon-fiber weave rally stripes that travel on each side of the hood bulge, upper horizontal front fascia surface, roof, decklid and spoiler. The Autobot® shield is incorporated throughout the design, including on the center caps of the 20″ black-painted wheels2 and embroidered into the headrests. The 2012 Camaro Transformers Special Edition will be available for order starting June 27, with production slated to begin in mid- to late August. In the tradition of special edition Camaro models, this will be a limited-time offer.
